Bridges & Dentures
Dentures are artificial replacements for your natural teeth and gums. If an accident, a disease or poor oral health care has left you with only a few healthy teeth or none at all, your dentist or prosthodontist might suggest dentures to replace your missing teeth. There are 2 types of dentures: partial and complete. For both types of dentures your dentist or specialist makes a model of your teeth by taking impressions. The models are used to custom-make your dentures.
Composite Fillings
Our tooth-coloured composite fillings restore the look and function of your teeth discreetly. These natural-looking, durable fillings blend seamlessly, providing a long-lasting solution that supports both aesthetics and good oral health.
Emergency Dental Treatment
Dental problems can happen unexpectedly. Playing sports, slipping on ice, or other accidents can cause immediate tooth damage. Our emergency dentistry services can help with urgent dental issues quickly. A dental emergency is any problem that needs immediate care to save a tooth, stop bleeding, or relieve severe pain. Serious infections or abscesses in the mouth require immediate attention.
Invisalign
Invisalign® straightens teeth with personalized aligner trays that fit snugly and gently shift teeth into place without metal brackets or painful adjustments. Change aligners every two weeks for a straighter smile with minimal discomfort.
Mouthguards & Retainers
Retainers and mouthguards are vital for protecting your smile, whether you’ve completed orthodontic treatment or lead an active lifestyle. Retainers ensure your teeth stay in their newly aligned positions, while mouthguards shield your teeth and braces from potential damage during sports or other activities.
Root Canals
Our root canal services address infected or damaged tooth roots to relieve pain and save the tooth. This treatment helps preserve your natural tooth structure and maintains the overall health of your smile.
Teeth Bonding
During this cosmetic procedure, a tooth-coloured composite resin is bonded to damaged, discoloured, decayed or gapped teeth to leave you with a more even, natural-looking smile. The composite resin will be chosen based on the shade that best matches your teeth so that it blends in.
Teeth Cleaning
Teeth cleanings are one of the purposes of your regular dental checkup visits with Argyll Dental. During the appointment, a dental hygienist will use specialized tools called a dental scaler or ultrasonic hand piece, to safely and thoroughly remove soft and calcified buildup off of your teeth.
Even if you’re brushing and flossing every day, you’ll have areas of buildup that accumulate between your dental cleaning appointments. Usually, those surfaces tend to be right along the gum lines, just under the edges of your gums, between teeth, or around fixed restorations / appliances like retainers or bridges.
Teeth Whitening
Professional teeth whitening is a safe and effective method of removing stains and lightening the colour of your teeth. Bleaching agents contained in teeth whitening solutions are designed to reverse the effects aging and staining can leave behind, lightening the colour of your teeth.
Tooth Crown
Dental crowns, or dental caps, are made-to-order restorations that completely encase a tooth’s visible surface. Moreover, they repair the size, strength, shape, and look of teeth that have been compromised or injured. Depending on the unique requirements and preferences of each patient, crowns can be from a variety of materials, such as porcelain, ceramic, metal alloys, or a mix of materials.
Tooth Extraction
A severely damaged tooth may need to be removed (extracted). When a tooth must be removed due to damage or decay, we offer several options for restoring teeth, such as implants, bridges, and partial dentures.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin shells of ceramic that bond directly to the front surfaces of the teeth. They are an ideal choice for improving your smile and have become increasingly popular due to their simplicity and versatility.
Placing custom teeth veneers requires a high degree of technical skill as well as attention to cosmetic detail. We place veneers routinely and design each case individually to match and enhance the characteristics of each patient’s smile.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
Wisdom teeth often require extraction because there is not enough room for them to fit in the jaw. These impacted teeth are routinely removed in our office.
